Our quintessentially
English brasserie restaurant
Chef Director, Tristan Welch has designed every dish to be a whimsical re-imagining of a British classic, sourced from field, fen and England's seas. This is where you will find plates piled high with Norfolk fruits de mer, or in winter, suckling pig with wild mushrooms, and Tristan’s special Spaghetti Bolognaise. You can taste England on every plate.
Breakfast Mon-Fri: 6:30am - 10:00am Sat/Sun: 7-11am
Breakfast is served in Parker’s Tavern Dining Room, amidst
bespoke panelling and the steam of hand-roasted grounds rising from burnished coffee pots.
You can also take things easy and have breakfast delivered to the Library. The menu is classic Cambridge, from a full English with free-range Cambridgeshire eggs, Newmarket sausages and bacon, to pastries and sticky buns from a local bakery.
I believe in honesty. I believe in a good time. I believe in good food.”

Lunch From Noon - 2:00pm
Lunch at Parker’s Tavern can be simple and low-key, a moment of culinary comfort in the busiest day. Head chef Tristan Welch sources the season’s freshest produce for every dish — from farmer, market, fisherman and gamekeeper, all within easy reach of Cambridge.
In the hazy Cambridge summer that means well-stuffed sandwiches and hearty salads. As autumn draws in, it’s the turn of warming root vegetables and organic, grass-fed steaks in soups, stews and rustic casseroles.
Dinner From 6:00pm - 9:30pm
The evening is when Parker’s feasting legacy truly comes into its own. Plates of suckling pig and fresh Norfolk seafood emerge from the Parker’s kitchen, as diners indulge in Tristan Welch’s whimsical interpretation of Great British comfort foods.
Every dish on the menu comes with a carefully chosen wine recommendation from the Parker’s Tavern sommelier. Our formidable cellar is at our diners’ disposal, with a vintage to match every depth of flavour and individual palate.
To eat is a necessity, but to eat intelligently is an art.”

Life, within doors, has few pleasanter prospects than a neatly-arranged and well-provisioned breakfast-table.”

Afternoon Tea Monday to Sunday, 12:00 to 17:00
Cambridge has given the world more great literature per square mile than perhaps any other city on earth. In their time, preeminent authors have paced along every side street, canal path and cobbled courtyard.
Afternoon tea at Parker’s Tavern is inspired by the city’s literary legacy, inflected with a maverick chef’s creative passion. Amongst the bookshelves and shades of Cambridge blue, waiters come laden with trays of savouries and jaunty cakes.
The Bar From 11:00am - Late
As an old coaching inn, Parker’s Tavern has been a meeting spot for over a hundred years. The inventiveness of our cocktail list is matched only by a famously well-stocked wine cellar.
Then and now, the Bar is a place where meetings are concluded with a round of drinks, where stories are told late into the evening in the company of friends and stiff nightcaps.
